Maryam is one of our participants who has been coached by us in the transition from Support and Matching to Prepare and Match. She has developed a lot during her time with us and has recently started a full-time job in a new-found professional field. Here you can share how she experienced her time with us!
What expectations did you have of Sandson?
My expectations were mostly about getting a good CV and personal letter, being able to practice interview questions and entering the job market.
What expectations did you have on your coach?
That the coach supports me and knows what I'm really looking for. As well as knowing which authorizations and skills I have that should be used for the right workplaces and to practice interview questions.
How did we meet your expectations (or not)?
I had a wonderful coach called Julia J, who knew exactly everything about my situation. I was supported and she guided me all the time. She showed me which avenues to turn to and which opportunities best suited my qualifications. I got to practice different interview questions and which answers fit best with certain questions. Got a lot of help with the CV itself and it really helped me get out into the job market.
What was the most valuable thing about the coaching at Sandson?
That I had a super talented coach who supported me all the way and was like a friend to me. I was able to contact her when I needed her and that's what I really needed, that the supervisor is there for me when I need help.
How would you describe your coach?
My coach was truly someone you can trust. I have told her about a bad experience I had at some point in the labor market that made me lose faith in myself. But she really helped with getting my strength and motivation back and supported me all the way until I got what I wanted. She is a down-to-earth person, respectful, understanding of others and good at listening. I am very grateful to have had her as a supervisor and also as someone you can turn to.
Is there anything you would like to add?
I am grateful for the time I had at Sandson and specifically with my wonderful coach. It really is a good activity to sign up for.
